A friend of mine just recently had a problem with his old dell. He's had since feb. 2002 and has a pentium 1.6mhz which i believe is a celeron. He needs a new motherboard and wants me to find one for him. Theres serveral types of pentiums and i'm not too familiar with them, but i'm sure that you guys could help me out.

Unfortunantly i don't know what socket it is. It uses 168 pin ram, and its a micro atx form factor. I'm assuming its a 478 pin socket.

Sounds like it's using SDRAM, so it could be either socket 478 or socket 423 even, but you didn't really give enough info to determine that..maybe you could give the exact model of the dell, that would help a lot..

Oh, and another thing you'll need to know is weather it's a northwood or a williamette, because not all boards will support both.
