Here's the deal I was cleaning an old computer(Using air), removed the RAM chip dusted it off put it back. While I was cleaning the unit was disconected from the power. Turn the system back on and all that happens is a loud beep! The board is a Matsonic model, other than that I have no Idea. Anyone have some suggestions to get this beast working? And just so you know it was working seconds prior to the cleaning.

probably zapped your RAM w/ static while it was out - one of the easiest parts of a PC to fry like this
got a friend who can loan you some yo test (or you could try your RAM in a friend's PC)

If my memory serves me correct, one looong beep is usually related to a graphics card error. Go back and make sure all of your components are plugged in firmly, particularly your RAM, CPU and video card. On the bright side, if your RAM is DOA, odds are you could stand an upgrade. A 512MB stick of PC100 can be had from Newegg for ~ $50. Note: Make sure you keep one hand/arm in contact with the case for grounding purposes whenever reaching into your case and touching anything.

As manier folks before you, you might have failed to re-insert the DIMM properly. Those old DIMM slots used to be ridiculously tight, especially on PC-Chips (aka Matsonic) boards.

Tuck something underneath the board so it can't bend away, and apply more pressure. MUCH more.
