HELP OC'ing E6320

Hey i'm new to the forums here and i need all the help i can get i've read quite a bit of things on here and never joined but now i need you guys, i have just installed my new e6320 and started the OC'ing but i seem to have hit a wall at 2.61ghz. I have ran at that speed for 7 hours on orthos. but any higher starts to give lockups/crashes. I was wondering where to go next in my attempts at OCing this chip.

FYI: I have given it up to 1.4v at 400fsb and still cant get it to boot into windows stable it's hit and miss.

My Hardware:
Intel e6320
Asus P5N-E SLI
Amp-X ddr2 800mhz
1:1 timing
XFX 8800gts 320mb
Stock hsf

Not all batches of the same CPU exhibit the same capability to OC, happens all the time.

In any case - try this article - its for the DS3 but also talks about how to approach OC'ing in an organized way.
