I have a Shuttle AN35N-Ultra nForce2 Ultra 400, AMD Barton 2500+, 2 x 512MB PC3200 Kingston HyperX, 128MB Radeon 9600 Pro. For my CPU cooler I have a NoiseControl Silverado and am running both fans at 10V, for case fans I have 3 80mm panaflo L1a's, 1 intake on the side and two rear exhaust. I have a 350W powersupply that came with the case. I have been able to get the fsb to 210 with memory settings of 8 (RAS), 3 (RCD), 3 (RP), 2.5 (CAS). My voltage is only at 1.65 V and it runs stable with idle temp of about 36 C and load temp of 47 C. My first question is why my scores in 3DMark03 don't go up when I increase the fsb? Second question is how am I supposed to increase the memory settings, like what should I expect to get out of my memory at best? Also, will increasing the voltage allow me to increase my fsb more? I got it to about 215 for the fsb but it wasn't very stable.

BUMP!!

Would be very interested to know that as well as I'm about to buy a Shuttle AN35N-U as well. I also have an 2500+ Barton (AQXFA, week 34)

Did u bring it to the 3200+ ration with FSB 200?

I'm not sure what you mean by 3200+ ration? My comp is recognized as a 3200+ when I start the computer if that's what you're saying

well at it's rated speed (200fsb), your memory is supposed to hit 6-2-3-2 timings, probably can't push the timings much lower @ that speed. try running some benches at your current setup, and then at only 200fbs but with the tighter timings and see what works better for you. increasing vcpu may help a little, but a vmem increase would probably be more useful in going higher than 200.

You may want to read the info at amdmb.com, memory forum about "nForce2 - High Tras = Better?". That may help improve your memory score. I think you would be better off trying to get a faster FSB speed then you would lower memory timing. You should be able to get to at leased 210 FSB and any be more.

Then you're good to go.

I'm just testing out a very similar rig and it's doing incredibly well.
I've got a 2500+ on the AN35 Ultra with Buffalo Ch-5 PC3200 doing 2.315GHz
now. The multiplier is probably locked, I didn't test it out yet but it's rock solid
so far at default voltage. The memory timing is 11-3-3-2.5
Not bad for a really cheap rig eh?
2x512MB dual channel and stock AMD retail heatsink as well.
