Help OCing a AMD XP 1600...

Ok been a while since I've done any OCing, and rather than sift through COUNTLESS topics and articles, I fgiured I'd go right to the men (and women) who know how to get it done...

I have a retail AMD XP 1600, Soyo Dragon+, 2x256 Crucial PC2100 RAM and a Alpha pal8045 HS/Fan combo

Current settigns:
Vcore: 1.74V
VCC2.5: 2.75V
VCC: 3.76V
+5 4.97V

Runs (under load) at 108F using retail HS/Fan combo with Artic Silver Thermal grease.

What do I need to do do bump this baby up? and to what are my limits?

Additional Hardware:
2xWD Gig HDs
IEEE controller
Gainward GF3 200Ti
LiteOn 24x CDRW

As with any system, what OC you'll end up with is entirely up to the sum of your components. That said, first thing I'd go for would be to raise the fsb to 133 across the board. Once you have everything running stable, then start raising your fsb, say at 5mhz at a shot until you bsod ( or locks up), then drop it 1 mhz at a time till it runs stably. (Seti@home is a good program to run to test for stability, check out my sig for more info). If you've unlocked your cpu, I'd set the fsb back to 133 then do the same thing with your multiplier. Once you've found your stable points, move your fsb back to the higher rate and enjoy! Disclaimer: this is the much simplified version on how to do it, depending on your software and components your results my differ by varying degrees.

I dont have to unlock the multiplyer do I?
I can do the OC via the FSB only correct?

Say like a PIII600E, bumping to FSB 133 = ~800mhz.
Same goes for the AMD XP correct? if I bump a 1600 to 133 that'll do it?

You got it, you don't have to unlock the multiplier, you can just raise the fsb...
