I have a 1.4 tbird, akasa silver mountain hsf with delta black label fan, 2 sticks of crucial pc133 cas 2, msi k7t turbo, audigy, extra maxtor ide card, gf4 4200 video

i can't get the fsb past 133. even at 134, the system will either lock up or the monitor won't come on. but it seems that my ram should be able to handle fsb's>133.... am i missing something?

also, if i upgrade to a xp1700+, would i see any significant speed differences?

what is your psu?
5v/12v/3v lines under load?

maybe pull that maxtor ide card....i dunno why it would give troubles, but perhaps its super duper ultra sensitive to oced bus lol (it might round up to 34mhz depending on cpu fsb, and it doesnt lie it?) i doubt this is the porblem but if all else fails, start pulling pci cards

what are your temps like under full load?
are teh ram timings relaxed?

I have a MSI K7T Turbo2 with decent PC133 ram and an ATI AIW 32meg video card and I am using a XP1700+ T-bred B I got at Newegg for $49 delivered. As I type I am running stable @ 12.5 x 160 mhz FSB @ 1.8 volts core. It is recognized as an XP2400. I used to have a 1200 Thunderbird in this same setup and overcloking was not good at all so I believe that a XP1700 would work great for you. Good luck!
