Help! Non Computer - Broke AC/DC DVD TV

Hi Guys (and Girl),

I have a Toshiba 12 volt 13inch DVD/TV, you know, the kind you can watch at home and in the car. Problem is, it was sitting upright and the kids pushed it over when we were changing a disk, and now it wont' eject. It fell over with the disk tray open, and bad things happened. It just makes a grinding sound when ejecting, and the disk will not eject. We are stuck playing Disney Princess over and over: We paid about $300 US dollars for this a year ago. Can I fix this for a reasonable $$$, and if so, how?

I need a portable solution, as we have 2 different cars that transport kids, and a built in solution is not feasible.

1: Does anyone know where we could get this repaired (for cheap) I live in a small town about 300 miles from the closest major airport.
2: Is it worth even trying to fix? Everything is fine, except the disk tray is bent.
3. If broken and not worth fixing, where could I get a cheap 12 volt DVD player to feed into the monitor that is still good?
4. Could you built an external computer DVD player to feed into the working TV? They are cheap and small.

Ugh. Does it have an emergency eject hole that you can paperclip out?

Other than that, it may be modular enough to be able to swap the DVD drive out if you can get someone to crack it open. At that point though, you're messing around inside a CRT, which contains nicely lethal voltages. Not a DIY job if you have to ask what not to touch. 😛
