Help! No Sound in XP!

I have an Asus A7v133 mobo, and just purchased an AMD XP 2000+. I previously had Win2k installed, and for some reason I was not able to start Windows after putting in the new processor. So, I installed WinXP Professional on another drive and now my Soundblaster Live doesnt seem to be working...When I check Control Panel, I do see it listed, but I am not getting any sound. My speakers are hooked up correctly, I installed the latest SB Live drivers for XP, I have no hardware conflicts, but still get no sound. Any of you guys have any idea what may be going on? Id appreciate any help!

I just formatted my hard drive and reinstalled XP Pro. I then downloaded the latest Soundblaster drivers and installed those. I checked the Volume Control and all volume settings are at Highest, and nothing is muted. The speakers are connected properly and are turned up. The Soundblaster Live! card is seen in Control Panel, but I have no sound...
