I believed my FX 5600 to have failed, as when I boot it, my monitor acts like there is no signal, with a blinking light like it was in sleep. Putting in my pc's original GF4MX lets the computer work fine. However, thinking my old fx 5600 was broken, I bought a GF6600 and a new PSU to go with it. The Geforce ran fine for around 2 weeks but now it is doing the same thing the 5600 did, the monitor light flashes like it's in sleep, the monitor's own RGB check when cable disconnects comes up fine. I find with the 5600 and the 6600, the cd/floppy/drives all spin up like it's booting but the typical lights on the keyboard don't flash so boot doesn't complete successfully.
I don't think I will ever buy a Dell again, the diagnostic lights on the back of the pc show B as yellow with the two problem cards but A,C, and D are green.
What could be wrong?
