Help ! no power ECS K7S5A SiS® 735 with Antec Case

I just bought a ECS K7S5A SiS® 735 from newegg and iam using a sparkle power supply with it. The case that i have is an Antec. I installed the motherboard and connected the cables for power and reset switch however the system won't start. Is there a way to turn on the sysetem / check the power supply withouth using the case switches . I am not sure what is wrong, whether it is the motherboard or the power supply as both are brand new.

don't install the mobo to the case. just plug it to the power supply and switch it on. try not to use the case power button instead touch the pin which u connect the case power buttonwith a metal object like a screwdriver.

Make sure you have the power switch hooked to the right terminals, The manuel's illustration on this
is confusing..
