Help! No Pictures

Plz help an old F**t. I haven't been able to acces any pics on the main Anandtech site for weeks now. Have tried advanced tab in IE 6 and also checked for spyware and viruses. No luck.

By the main anandtech site, I'm assuming you're referring to www.anandtech.com, and not the forums?
Is it *only* anandtech where you have that problem??

In IE6, did you click on <tools> <Internet Options> <advanced> and check the setting? - If all else fails at this point, have you tried "restore defaults"?

Yes, it's the anandtech.com site. Graphs come thru OK, have tried Advanced tab in in Internet Options, tried resetting to defaults in Multimedia area. Thanks for the advice, but no luck.

PS This only occurs in articles, otherwise ads et al. are visible

I ran into a problem just the other day that was similar... not on Anandtech though. I don't recall which browser I was using. I simply hit the refresh button, everything reloaded just fine. I thought to myself "weird" and moved on.
As stupid as it sounds, have you tried the refresh button?

Weird. The pictures load just fine for me in IE6. (and Firefox)

Have tried your suggestions and once again, no luck. Appreciate you efforts to help. Forgot to mention seems to occur only in articles posted on anandtech.com, all others seem to function OK. Also, have tried shutting off pop blocker and then added At as a secure site.

Once, in an effort to subdue the ads in the forums, I used 'block images from....' It was fine until one day I was browsing anandtech.com and realized I wasn't getting any of the pictures in the articles, which of course turned out to be a result of my previous action. Took me a while to put the two together 😱

JC, I can't find the "block images from.." . Please point me in the right direction.

Sorry, I was assuming IE had a similar item on the right-click menu (I'm a Firefox user). I don't see that option for IE. My bad.

I have the same problem...but if I disable norton firewall the problem corrects itself, it only happens when I view the articles for me

I have same issue since, lets say, this week. As soon as I turn on my Firewall (ZoneAlarm Pro latest or even WinXP firewall) I cannot see any pictures in the Anandtech Frontpage Articles.

When my Firewall is off, I can see all pictures.

Strange thing is that this is only happening on Anand. All other sites are fine and dandy.

Refresh, for that matter, doesn.t do the trick either.

I assume there definitely is something wrong here since it happens with all kinds of firewalls.

Though I like anand a lot, especially now with all the IDF covering, I don't think we should start surfing without a firewall.......

Please can someone over at Anand look in to this>>

Thanks, Stumps. ZoneAlarm was the problem. Had to go to Privacy section and reset defaults. Meant to get back sooner but wasn't able to login to forum for awhile. And thanks to everyboby for their efforts to help.
