HELP: No Image, Long Beep

I recently RMA'd my Ti4600 to BFG who promptly sent over a 6800OC AGP 🙂

However, when I install in the new card on my ASUS P4PE board and boot up, no image displays on the screen (Not even BIOS-it's as if i never turned my monitor on) and there is one long, loud, high-pitched, continuous beep coming from either the card or mobo. The one long continuous beep does not stop... I could let it go for 10 minutes it would still be the same loud beep. I've never seen anything like this.... any suggestions?

1. Check and make sure your RAM is still seated properly (yes, I realize you only took out your Vid card, but that sounds like a RAM beep to me)
2. What PSU do you have?

did you plug in the molex connector?

How crappy is your PSU?

Try reseating the card?

Did you try reseating your ram?

Check out the error codes for your BIOS and see what one long beep means.

Sorry for the non-helpful answer, but I really have no idea of what he beep might mean, just that it is probably a BIOS beep code.

EDIT: Also, what was said above should be attempted first.
Woah! Post 666. I didnt know I was even above 600.

check whether ur power cable is connected to the card....these cards are programmed to give off beeps if the cable isnt connected.

Actually, they aren't.

Only ATi cards beep that way, and will not run. nVidia cards will run at a reduced wattage, and the system will still boot up.

re-seat the card. i was building using an asus for buddy and we got the same long beep. turned out the card wasnt making good contact. take it out and put it back in.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I haven't been home to try them out yet but I will tomorrow afternoon. To answer a question, I'm running an Antec TruePower 550W power supply so I know there's plenty of power. Keep the ideas coming! Thanks.
