I reinstalled windows when i upgraded every pc part last weekend. I grabbed my pst file and archive pst file and dropped them into the new profile location told outlook 2003 where they are and everything is there even my contacts.

Except the contacts are missing when I try to let outlook resolve the address when I type the first few letters. I try going into options on the address book and remove and re add the contacts list but it is no good. Any other ideas?

Normally, your supposed to export your stuff.

Then, import it back.

I have no solution for you.

It was already listed in teh contacts but it does not show in the address list nor when searching via creating a new email. I already tried importing it and that does not change the address book.

It is a pst file. I am thinking of turning on the profiles option and trying to start outlook over again from the import.

I figured it out sort of. I created a new profile and re imported my data file again, removed the default data file created and no problems this time. I wonder what I did wrong the first time?
