Just got a VX2025, and when i change nvidia driver setting to do not sacle to plat BF2, it says out of range. i can't find an option on the osd to help, HELP

Safe mode, uninstall the drivers. Then just reinstall them again.

fixed aspect ratio timing right? you have to make sure ur under dvi, and your monitor is in the mode so it allows it too

OP, if I'm reading your post right, you can't boot normally because you're now getting an 'out of range' error?

If so, you can use the /basevideo switch in boot.ini to reset the video drivers to 640 x 480 at 60 mhz as in safemode. Then you can reset the drivers within Windows to the resolution you like and don't forget to remove the /basevideo switch before you reboot.

I'm having trouble understanding this. Could you please rephrase it somehow?

When you change it, it should have some 15 sec. timer built in so that it'll automatically change back. BTW, you'll never get the VX2025 to not scale. It'll always fill up the monitor or give you an "out of range" thing. It's a know problem that Viewsonic can't do crap about.

Wait, what does this mean? Does this only apply to moniter-side scaling or video card-side scaling, too?
