Hello and thanks in advance for reading my posting!
I have an Intel D865PERLL motherboard with an Intel P4 2.8 GHz processor. I am using the original CPU fan and somehow lost the ability to monitor CPU fan speed in BIOS (and subsequently in the Windows-based Intel Active-Monitor).
I followed Intel's instructions to get Active-Monitor to re-acquire the fans on startup but since the BIOS is not picking it up I think this is deeper than an Active-Monitor issue. The fan is running and my temperatures are staying within normal operating ranges.
Any ideas in how to get BIOS to find the fan would be helpful. Also, there are three wires on the fan (black, yellow, green). What is the pinout on the motherboard and connector for the fan?
Thanks Again!
