Help: Nikon Coolpix 775 Camera w/ Win98

The system can recognize the camera, but it can not transfer the photos at all. After I click on the transfer button, the progress bar shows up, but it stays at 1% forever. Looks like Nikon isn't providing any software service patch. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

is the memory stick seen in my computer?
if it is then you should be able to selectively copy your photos from the stick to your hdd using copy/paste.

the latest version of nikon view?

the latest one is 5.1.1 that's what i'm using, they also have 4.3.1 up on their website. which version are you using?

I'm using the old version, 4.3.1. Would the nikon view software make a difference? Have you had any problem similar? Thanks a lot.🙂

give the new one a try. i'm using windows xp and haven't had any problems but the new one is completely different install so it might fix it. and it has a bunch of drivers on the nikon support page.

A better sloution is to get an external Compact Flash Card reader that plugs into your usb port.
I have this camera and bought a flash reader, much much faster and saves battery life.
You can get them anywhere. Here
You can buy them at any electrinic store such as Best Buy or Frys or wherever.
