Trying to run Winamp2 to playback mp3s and all of the sudden my sound is going all screwy. Whenever I'm typing and playing a song, the song gets all choppy (like a CD skipping). I've reinstalled nForce drivers and stuff, but it still happens. This problem does not seem to happen in Windows Media Player. I've also uninstalled and re-installed Winamp a few times. A few questions here.

1) Is is a Winamp problem, have any of you run into it? How do I solve it? It ONLY seems to happen while typing.
2) Is this a problem with my mobo's onboard sound?
3) A few days ago my ti4200 crapped out on me, gradually...it started out acting funny, then went totally screwy. Could my mobo be frying components?

Any help would be useful. Thanks.

You havent told us what your OS is, amd brand of the mb. There is a known problem with Windows 98 and 8RDA+, and you need a MSFT hotfix - please search the epox forum in amdmb.com for "skipping sound" for a possible solution to your problem,

I have the same problem with my MSI K7N2-Delta-L nforce 2 mobo, when I'm playing a song on foobar or media player, it would get screwy and stutter and it would PISS me off like crazy.

It's corrupt mp3's, dumbass. Happens to me all the time. File sharing is not what it once was.

And what the fuk is this foobar thing? Is it a cool word that nerds say? It's extremely annoying

To add, I bet your computer is really slow now, since you've reinstalled drivers 3 times and winamp 2 or so.
