Help. Newly bought G.Skill 8gB DDR3 kit not stable.

I recently bought this item: NewEgg G.Skill 8GB

Model: F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

I punched in 9-9-9-24-2n hard into the bios. However the closest divider I can get is for ~1667Mhz. Cataclysm just crashed with these settings, locking up hard. Bios wants to put 1.8V to these 1.5V rated, when its set to auto.

I *think* i'm having some system instability troubles.

I'm running a i5-750 with BCLK of 167 for 3.5Ghz. This is all on a 850Watt Corsair PSU.

Anyways, on a Memtest 86+ go I had errors when I simply ran the memory at what the BIOS thought, but divider to ~1667Mhz (Auto timings and Voltage). Bios wants to put 1.8V to them, when they are rated at 1.5V.

Thoughts? I might upgrade my bios. This is now the second set of ram that won't work at rated 1600Mhz on this mobo.

Mobo BTW is Asus P7P55D Deluxe.

I think my Bios is just being retarded with 1.8V so I'm gonna hard it to rated 1.5V and manually the rated speeds. Should these modules be able to work at 1667Mhz? That's a pretty light OC isn't it?

Maybe I just have no idea how to OC. Two times in a row, trouble with memory.

Return the RAM. I had issues with G. Skill RAM and that motherboard. Switched to Corsair and all of my issues went away.
