I am trying to get a Radeon R7 240 to hook up tp my new LCD tv. I cannot even get the boot screen to show up. I have tried hooking it up to my other setup which is running off of an Nvidia card hdmi to a 50" LG lcd and it still show no signal. I even re-installed the old video card just to install the radeon drivers and it still shows no signal.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

1. make sure your hdmi cables are working. ( I've had a few go bad on me)
2. if you have IGP (onboard graphics), go to bios and switch it to pcie. Or you can boot off of your IGP and able the 240 card that way thru windows. You might need another display to initial set it up.
3. sometimes, you just have to wait until it loads into window. Once it loads into window, assuming you've installed the driver, the display will show up.

Turn on the TV. If that doesn't work, see if the TV is plugged in to the wall outlet and receiving power (e.g., sometimes your wall outlet is connected to a light switch that also needs to be flipped on).

Alll of the cables I tried are already in use with my other system. No on board graphics. I checked the BIOS and it is set to PEG (PCIe) Windows was loaded and nothing. I installed the driverswith a different monitor and then tried to use the LCD and nothing.

Kenmitch, This is just being used as a monitor only so no other HDMI inputs or any other inputs used. Yes, I chose the right input.

Yep the LCD was powered on so that isn't the problem.

Thanks for the help so far. I did notice that the fan for the card doesn't even come on. I even tried an Nvidia 630 card and no go. So it seems like no power to the card. But that is wierd since my other older card comes right on. It cannot be a power requirement since I am running a Tagan 1000W PS. I am thinking it may just be a motherboard issue. This an older P35 mobo that I just hate to upgrade since it is running everything just fine!

Do you still have another monitor attached to the computer? Possibly you just have to extend the displays. Also if that is not the case, are any other video cables attached to the PC? If so disconnect them.
