Help! New home WAP: Netscape works, IE and itunes don't.

I got my wireless router hooked up. I can surf the web fine with Netscape but Internet Explorer can't see the internet, nor can iTunes. This is for XP Pro and a Linksys wrt54g.

Any simple thing I may be doing wrong?

One clarification (and a gratuitous bump): this is my work laptop. I had to disable the proxy server for Netscape. I don't see any way to do an analagous operation for IE or in general.
