HELP: New DVI-D video card with old DVI-I monitor

My new video card has HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and DVI-D.

I need to connect to an old monitor that has VGA, and DVI-I.

Any suggestions? Best adapter or cable?

I went a similar route, but am worried the adapter will add too much length to the back of the card. This machine sits in an enclosed cabinet w/out much extra room.

AFAIK DVI-D cable is identical to DVI-I, just without the 4 pins that carry analog signal. As long as your monitor can take digital signal DVD-D cable should work just fine. If you have DVI-D cable lying around just try it.
