ok, when i run a few apps....especially morpheus...and i surf the web in a few windows, my screen turns blue and says

"HARDWARE AMLFUNCTION, YOUR COMPUTER HAS STOP FUNCTIONING, CONTACT YOUR HARDWARE VENDOR"

has anyone ever seen this? i am running 2kpro.

if a part is bad, doesn't the pc just shut down?

yo mulla..THAT IS SOME GOOD STUFF!!! THX!!!

ok....this is what i think happened. when my maxtor crashed, i did a full reinstall of win2k pro. i figured why not get ALL the latest drivers for my system. so i went to the intel site and got the newest (or latest) vc820 drivers. i think this screwed it up!!!
the one thing is, on the support site it mentions that this error occurs at boot up....but it happens to me when i run many applications at the same time....especially when downloading on morpheus!!

also, i installed that intel accelerator that came out a few months ago.....the thing that was suppse to up-date your chipset or bios or something.....does anyone know if that was a permanent thing????? i think that might be it as well...

IAA (Intel Application Accelerator) is just Intel's version of IDE drivers. It doesn't offer much performance increase during day to day use but many people did notice significant increase in boot up time under w2k after installing it.

Good luck!
