Help, networking 2 computers together?!

Ok, I want to network 2 computers together for gaming and printer/file sharing. Both have Win XP Pro and both are within 10 feet of each other. Each computer has one network card and both are plugged into a 3com hub. The hub is connected to my adsl modem.......internet works fine on both systems. Do I need another network card in one of the computers so it can be a "server"?

Any web sites or articles that explain "networking for dummies"?

Thanks for any help.

I recommend buying a router with a built in 4 port switch and a network card in each computer. They usually have a hardware firewall, and will make life many times easier than trying to use a hub, especially using WinXP.

You can post questions on networking in the networking forum here, or just search through the many threads. We have many good knowledgable people to help you there.
