Help! Network dies within 30 seconds of connecting

After installing Service Pack 2 on my new build my network has been acting very strange. When I first turn on my computer it works fine for about 20 seconds. After 20 seconds it starts to get really slow and wont load certain web pages & half the graphics wont load on the web pages it does bring up.... then after about a minute it wont load anything.

Funny thing is if I ping anything using run >ping ___ i get quick response times... yet windows wont load any web pages.

anyone know what this might be?

Did you try disabling the firewall?

yeah. This happened with my DFI board too, before I sent it back due to memory problems.

if i plug in my dell everything works fine... i cant figure it out

could this be some kind of virus i got wshile surfing the net before installing the service packs and security updates?
