HELP! network compromised!

hello all. a relative of mines network seems to be have been compromised. he managed to have angered someone online. and that person has been able to see what the whole household has been doing online such as ebay stuff. so im wondering what they could do to stop this. they are worried passwords and other private info are being stolen. my knowledge on hacking or anything along these lines are limited. so any help would be appreciated. thanks
 
Need a bit more information.

Any proof? Such as router/firewall log files, purchases they didn't make, emails they didn't send, computer software changed, etc.
