HELP NEEDED with Supermicro MB Unlock keyboard.......

System board is a Supermicro P6SLS, 32MB, PII 300,I was trying to add a new HD to my kids computer and upon a reboot, even before installing the HD, I got the following message:
Checking NVRAM
USB Device: keyboard Mouse Hub Floppy unknown
Wait...
Unlock keyboard
Press F! to resume

But nothing I tried seems to work.........

I run out of ideas as to what is the problem or..solution.

Any help, support, recommendations much appreciated. Thanks.

Have tried the clear cmos?

If you are using a USB keyboard try a standard keyboard if you have one.

No I did not clear the cmos. Should I? Why?
