Help needed with Sata 1.50 setup

Hello,

I'm having a hell of a time trying to get this ^%&*( sata drive to boot after the WinXP files have been installed. I've made sure that the first boot device is the sata drive. Furthermore, there are no sata drivers that have to be installed during the initial setup of WinXP. I've contacted HP and they've confirmed this. Any ideas?@?!@
