I am in need of some assistance. I am upgrading my directv to swm. I have the following receivers 1-HR24, 1-HR22 and 2 H21. I have the following parts. A new swm lnb, a power inverter, a 1x4 switch. What else do I need to connect all my receivers so it would work for whole home? And can someone possibly diagram it for me. I also have a DIRECTV DECA BROADBAND ADAPTER - DECABB1MR0-01. Rush assistance please. Thank you in advance

You need this:

http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.as...tible-splitter-(2--2150-mhz)&sku=874409002084

and replace your 1x4 splitter. The splitter you have will only support 4 tuners and you'll get "776" errors because you have 4 boxes with a total of 6 tuners.

If you notice the ports on the splitter that I linked, there is one that is red. You MUST run the coax with the SWM Power Inserter through this port. It is the only one that passes power to the LNB. You will get "775" errors on all your receivers otherwise. The DECA broadband adapter can be put on any of the coax lines, but you'll either need to run it straight to an empty port on your switch (if your router is close enough) or you will need to get a satellite splitter and splice it into any of the coax lines.

You'll also need a DECA adapter for the HR22 and the H21s. You can call DirecTV and tell them you need these but you may have to argue with someone for awhile because they won't think you need them. They are only for MRV installations and your account won't show Whole-Home capable.

Finally, you'll need to call DirecTV and get MRV activated on the account.

why not just hook the ethernet pots up on all the recievers?
So much easier than dealing with DECA and having to buy parts for DTV

Well, that would require an active Ethernet connection in every room that many/most people don't have. Plus, if you are already paying for DirecTV, you can call and get DECAs sent at no charge. Why bother with the extra cabling when the signal is already there to be split off at the IRDs?
