Hi,

I need help with fitting the front panel case connectors to my motherboard; this aspect of system building seems to be ignored by both case and motherboard manufacturers, and hence their instructions never seem to address the correct way to connect case leds to their motherboard terminals.

I wanted to know: which way round in terms of polarity do the wires go? There seems to be a a coloured (green, orange, purple etc) wire along with a white one on most of the connectors - does the white usually go to the negative or positive terminal on the motherboard? Also, some of the case connectors have red and black wires instead of a white and a coloured one - which way round do the red and black wires go (i.e. to positive or negative)?

I know this is probably a simple question for the experts out there, but if anyone can clarify it for me, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter b/c it's an led... you can flip this both ways and it'll still turn on.

only thing that might matter is the speaker one, but that's usually black and red and the direcitons or mobo are labeled +,- and +=red -=black
