OK. My Brother will be graduating from college soon, off to Officer Flight School, and my parents are going to buy him a laptop (amoung other things). They say they have a budget of around 1,500 US Dollars. I can add a few hundred to that, but not much. My parents want a Name brand, such as a Dell. Anyone know a company (like Dell) who is presently having a deal, or a really good laptop to buy? Should I wait a week for some major price drop or anything? Below is the Basic Info.

- Around $1,500
- Good Brand
- DVD or CDRW drive
- At least 10gb Harddrive
- Pentium III processor
- Need to buy within 2 weeks
 
you can easily ge a dell for that... right now they have the $100 off and free dvd speicals running again. inspiron 3800 in the home section.
