ok, this is really starting to bug me a bit. My last and final alternative at the moment is install windows xp, but i don't want to do that until i am certain that i can't fix this problem.

anyways, here is what i found very strange and interesting.

on my machine, without using any RAID controllers, the hard drive boots up fine, i did this twice and no blue screen STOP error occured. So i threw in my RAID controllers and I get that error. But here is the weird thing. Originally this problem occured on my cousins machine (this is his HD) and guess what, he has no RAID or HD controllers, so to sum it up, on his computer, with no HD controllers, he gets this STOP error. ON my computer, with RAID controllers I do get it. But without I don't (well last that I checked)

I've done several things already. 1, I did a fixboot and a chkdsk /r about 2 times, and still get the error. I know that the HD isn't corrupted because it is possible to boot up correctly (without the RAID CONTROLLERS) but WHY IS THIS HAPPENEDING????????????? this is really frustrating,

right now, i'm scanning for viruses just to play it safe. okay, NAV just finished scanning and it found nothing. I'm really stuck now. I've formated once already, and I might have to do it again, if this error still occurs, I will probably give up and throw in XP, i just hope this error doesn't appear in XP or ill have to see if we can RMA this sh|t drive 🙂

danny~!
