I need the following files:

NC drill file
top soldermask
bottom soldermask
top copper layer
bottom copper layer
keep out layer

I was able to generate a bunch fo files from the cam output>gerber file>generate files option, but I don't know which files are which. Could someone please tell me which is which?

never used that program...do you have access to eagle or can you port you design/board into eagle? if it is really that critical, i can help you if you can get it into eagle. what exactly are you having problems with?

edit: if you go to www.4pcb.com, they have a free DFM file checker that will show you pictures of what each file contains as well as the name of the file. if you have successfully created the gerbers, you can upload them for free and it will email you PDFs of the results. it will also check it for tolerance violations.

post the file names with the extensions

also, check in the cam processor if it will let you name each file and process each section differently.

open them up in a gerber viewer, and find out which file is which by looking at the layout? :)

good idea!

xtx_final.gbl= bottom copper layer
xtx_final.gbo= silkscreen-unneeded
xtx_final.gko= keep out layer
xtx_final.gbl= bottom layer
xtx_final.gtl= top copper layer
xtx_final.gto= top silkscreen layer

gg1 and gd1 have something to do with drilling

drl, drr, gbl, gbo, gd1, gg1, gko, gtl, gto, txt, and rep are the extensions in the folder of outputted files.

drl, drr, gd1, gg1, txt, and rep are unknown.

out of these, there must be an "nc drill file", top soldermask, and bottom soldermask files.

this is a 2 layer board, no silkscreen, soldermask, and holes+vias.
