Have two machine on my new network using linksys cable/dsl router one work just fine with no problem everything works,, the other machine give the screeen no network socket conncetion when trying to log on the net. using a dlink network card same router, have try several things like install netscape browser again and check the setting against the other machine making sure they are the same, anyone got any idea what give here???😕
 
Ok make sure your network card works and cable is OK. Trade net. card and cable from other comp and then try it. Also make sure your TCP/IP stack works fine. so in MS-Dos type the following: ping 127.0.0.1 and then if you get all packets trough you're fine, if not then reinstall TCP/IP, make sure the IP addreses are different, but everything else the same on both comps. Other than that I'm not sure what else could you do.
