Help Needed - Netgear WGE111 Gaming Adapter

I'm using WEP security and made sure to:
[*]Put the SSID in the same as the router
[*]Put in the WEP keys the same as the router
[*]Added the WGE111 to the wireless access (Device Name & MAC) list of devices on the router itself.

What I can't get is why the WGE111 won't or can't connect. It finds the router just fine. But it won't connect up. The router also doesn't seem to recognize that the WGE111 is trying to connect to it.

The only thing that I can think of that maybe is an issue is that I'm configuring the WGE111 by plugging it into the router, rather than by plugging it into a computer.

After a call to Netgear, and speaking to someone with a very thick accent, I'm able to connect. I had to turn the Wireless Device Access List option off.
