I bought an ASthlon 700 a GeForce and the MSI K7Pro-Board.
I've been playings lots of different games. Espacially Diablo2 and I was astonished by the poor performance of the game on my machine (128Megs). There are several strange slowdowns, sometimes the whole game stops for about 30 seconds. The situation improved with the new patch but now somebody told me that there might be something wrong with the board, because obviously there are known problems (he said "bug"; whatever he ment...) with the Level2 Cache which causes these slowdowns. I only read positive comments about that board. So what is it all about? (Q3 i.e. runs excellent except very few freezes, but that doesn't matter at all...
)
My friend uses the same Graphics device, he also uses the same memory, he uses an Athlon, too but he has the ASUS K7M. Well, D2 is not really fast on his machine either but it's much more acceptable!!
D2 is known for memory-problems but it wouldn't run on my freinds computer either, would it?!
