I'm looking for a powerfull video card that will be used for graphic programs such at 3d studio max, maya, and photoshop. I was thinking of either the ATI Radeon 8500 (the regular one or the DV version) or possibly the Geforce3 Ti 200 or 500. What I was wondering is which one would be better for these applications?

I'm thinking about building the system with the following parts:
Mobo: A7M266-D
Processor: 2x Athlon MP 1600+
Ram: 512 meg or 1 gig registered DDR

Another question: What PSU should I get for this setup?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go for the GeForce card. The only reason I say that is 'cause I read an article a while back (6mo maybe?) that compared consumer video cards (ATi, Matrox, Voodoo, Nvidia) running either 3DMax or Maya, and the GeForce based card did the best job overall.
