help needed for surround sound system

Hey. I'm looking to get a decent surround sound system going for myself. Do note that I will be on a budget (350 or less), so nothing uber expensive. But what I am looking for, and having trouble finding, is a receiver that outputs 150w to the center channel and 100w to the others. Also needs a sub output. If you need any more info just ask. Also, if you know of a decent setup that goes for 600-700 bucks, by all means list it. I want enough to shake the sh!t outta my room at home and at college. Thanks all.

speakers im looking at
sub im looking at

The onkyo hts-650 is widely regarded as the best complete system in the $500 range. You get a good receiver, 5 speakers and a sub and it sounds fantastic. Crank up the sub and you'll be literally shaking the walls. I got mine at circuit city for $499.

Anything in the $350 range is going to sound really crappy....sorry.

i was talking 350 for the reciever...sorry. I didnt clarify. But thanks for the suggestion...ill check it out.

I agree with the Home theater in a box.. The onkyo and the Kenwood htb-505 are the top contenders from what I have been reading on the hometheaterforums. I got myself a Kenwood HTB-505, it's crystal clear, and very loud. Very simple to setup.

But, it sounds like you may be looking for something more high end. I would check out hometheaterforum.com to get recommendations
