Hi! My computer has the following specs:

P4, 2.4 GHz
1024 MB DDR RAM
512MB DDR2 Nvidia Geforce 7300GT AGP Graphics Card
40GB Samsung HDD
120GB Seagate Barracuda HDD

I realize that the PC is old, but I want to know if there is a better AGP graphics card out there than the present Nvidia 7300GT (512MB) I'm running...can anyone let me know?

Thanks in advance! :)

I used a x1950 Pro for a while. Kinda pricey. The 3850 is a much better card. It's still pretty expensive considering new PCIe cards will smoke it for that price. The 3850 can get easily CPU bottlenecked in many situations too. Even my X1950 was severely CPU limited in games like WoW.

With a $150 price tag on either of these cards, it's tough to recommend that over cheap overhaul to your system for the $200-300 range. $100 C2D+MB, $20-30 2gb ram, $80 8800gs would be far better then a 3850 AGP upgrade to your existing rig.

The thing is in my country (India) all I could find for the AGP type was the Nvidia 7300GT (512mb) card. All the rest were PCIE types. I'm going to Singapore next week so I was asking if I could get a better AGP card.

Have a look around Sim Lim square in Singapore if you get a chance....6 floors of computer components to choose from :)- I am sure you will find perhaps a 2400 AGP or maybe 3850....Although you could probably build yourself a new comp for near the price of these cards...
