i remember reading it in articles a few times about how E =! MC^2 (energy does NOT equal to mass times acceleration square)

can someone shed some more light on this? possible a good prove or hypothesis about this.

i need this because my friend does not believe it, but all i am saying is i've read about it before and it certainly is there.

there are a few instances that the E=MC^2 simply does not hold true and can not be used to solve certain " <insert choices>"

thanks in advance guys.

Don't pay any attention to the poll. You are going to get a bunch of people that are completely unable to make an educated argument from one side or the other.

That said, I'm one of those who wouldn't really be able to hold a good argument about it. Maybe if I was at home and had access to some of my books I could.

You'd probably get more intelligent responses in the Highly Technical forum.

c is the speed of light. It's a not an acceleration it's a velocity. It's units are meters/second. mc^2 = Kg*m^2/s^2 (which is Joules or energy)
