Help need with Nero

Hi, I am new to the forum so hope I am doing this correctly. I have Nero 6.3 (i think) installed on my pc and it has been working fine until I tried to use it tonight and it would'nt open from my desktop. I rebooted my pc to see if that would help but to no avail. I then tried to uninstall it but it wouldn't let me saying that certain files were still in use. So now I have Nero on my computer but unable to access it and not able to ininstall it. I can't even upgrade it because of the same problem. I tried deleting all the files but I can't do that either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much
 
Go to RUN, Type in msconfig Then in startup, uncheck anything to do with Nero.
Click Apply, and reboot, then uninstall it.
