I am planning to upgrade the Video Card in my system (PIII 500, 128MB RAM).

I use it for gaming a little but mainly for graphics and CAD work. (AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.)

My budget is under $100

I was looking at the Voodoo3 2000/3000....any comments ?

I have a Voodoo3-2000 in my Athlon 550 and it gives me about 55FPS in Quake3 high quality, that's good enough for me.

Voodooo3s also have very nice 2D quality, though a G400 would give you better 2D, especially in the colour vibrancy area.

You could try and find an Elsa GeForce 2MX, apperntly Elsa has decent 2D, but for the most part steer clear of nVidia...they have awful 2D quality.

Edit: oh yeah...you should be able to find a V3 for about $50

The Elsa should be real good for 3D games. As far as cheap prices check out the FS/FT forums and you can pick up some great deals. Good Luck.
