HELP! Need to play AOE2 over the net. How to conenct to a PC in a LAN???

My friend and I want to play Age of Empires over TCP/IP. He'll be hosting the game and his machine is behind a Linux box acting as his gateway. The Linux box is connected to DSL and assigns the computers in the LAN a IP. How do I find out the correct IP to connect to his computer? thanx and happy xmas!
 

See if he has DHCPD or DHCPCLIENT on his setup.

Portforward the firewall External_IP to the apropritate Interal Host IP & Port.

Setup the client computers to connect to the firewall external_IP & apropriate Port.
