I downloaded the latest drivers for highpoint udma66 controller for win2000.
I would install the controller, but the win2000 does not like the drivers..
I would appreciate any help in this matter..

Common problem. After many reinstalls, I finally gave up on the Highpoint controller and went back to IDE33.

There is a reghack to enable UDMA66 on your controller. Here is the key:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000]
"EnableUDMA66"=dword:00000001

Just copy and paste into a text file and then import it into your reg.

It works on my system.

This is sort of a fix. By default, Windows 2000 will find your UDMA66 controller, but it will not enable this feature (UDMA66). This reg setting is a fix, and it will enable UDMA66. I have the same mobo as you, and it works on mine.
