help! need to get rid of password screen when accessing a network drive (win2k)

I need to learn some way to bypass the user/password dialog that comes up when I try to access a network drive in Win2k from another Win2k system.

Is there some way to disable it or have my username/password stored?

To avoid it you have to be logged onto your machine with a user /password combination that exists (and has access permission, of course) on the other machine.

i cant seem to log on with the name from the other system. Do I need to create the user on both systems?

I got rid of that by logging on to all my computer on my home network with the same account
