Help! Need some info on removable HDD racks

i'm taking a class that requires me to buy a harddrive and a removable rack. I have the HDD but the bookstore sells the rack for 33$ and i was just wondering if there was some sort of standard that they use with removalbe racks, meaning that i could buy a different brand name removable rack at newegg for 10$ or elseware. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Nope there is no standard....There is currently 4 diff non interchangeable models on my desk.

You should ask to see which make & model that is currently being use in your school lab, then buy it at your local Bestbuy at about $20.00. But it is best to purchase it at the book store to save you the time looking for a compatible bay.
