HELP! Need osX Jaguar

Hi guys,
I have a 1 year old G4 and it's been crashing like crazy lately... I purchased Jaguar from the apple store a few months ago but my mom threw my CD case away (with all of my software).. Stupid me didn't make a backup and now I'm pretty screwed.... I have my manual and registration card but desperately need to get an install cd.. In fact, I have disk 3 (left it in the drive).. I'm really not pirating here and did pay for the software... Please PM me if you can help me out.. Thanks and be well

p.s. I tried callling Apple but they're no help - companies like Adobe and even Microsoft sent me out replacements as long as I registered their software (I actually sat on my Adobe Premiere cd and the customer service rep giggled and sent me a replacement!).. Apple's asking for money.. grr.. from a student...

Sounds like you need to be more careful with your cds.

You're right.. I shouldn't have left my cd case in the liviing room.. My mom sometimes goes schizo when cleaning up the place and just throws things in the garbage (she actually once threw away a brand new leather jacket and some of my shoes....).. The thing with me sitting on my adobe premiere CD was a rare and kinda funny mistake.. But I make backups now and hide the originals in the back of my closet...

I'm pretty desperate after a long talk with Apple tech support.... I can provide proof that I paid for it if anyone is willing to help me out.. I have one original disk of Jaguar sitting in front of me and one of my system restore disks.. I can scan them and send you the jpeg for proof.. Or I can send naked pics of my mom.. Just Kidding (I wouldn't share them with anyone but my sweet Wilfred)..... I'm a bit offended by the PMs I've gotten about piracy - think about it, unlike PCs, Macs ALL come preloaded with an OS... I also am a registered user with my own serial number - I'm not asking anyone to send their.. Regardless, please help out if you can..

You have the proof you bought the cd's in the first place.

How much are they going to charge you for them?

That's what's frustrating.. Customer service said that I have to call back on monday to find out for sure, but they're 99% sure it'll cost me the standard student rate if I lost it after the retarded 90 day warrant (it is after 90 days).. I wanted a definite answer (since I was in the middle of ediiting an important video when the computer crashed and need to be up and running soon) and they said that Tech Support MAY be able to give me a definite answer but that there's a per incident charge of $45! Grr.. Apple's warrant is REALLY annoying..
