I have one laptop running windows 95, one desktop running 98. I want to set up home networking between them, do they have to use the same operation system? I found there is no microsoft client for 95, only family logon. BTW I plan to use cable without hub to connect them, and I use PPP dialup to connect to internet, which primary logon should I choose? I would like to have them share internet connection. Thanks.

BTW where can I buy cross over cable?

you can get cross over cable in most computer / electronic shops like fry's or so. i doesn't really matter what kind of login you using. if you are using win98se, then use ICS and it is very easy to set up.
