HELP! Need new home for my cat! *FOUND A HOME*

A friend of mine has been harboring my cat for a few months, and she has to move to a non-cat friendly apartment. However, I am unable to take him back because my parents have a 135lb dog in the house (family problems prevent me from moving to my own place). She'll be moving in two weeks so I need to find a new home for him NOW.

Name: Pancake
Age: 2 3/4 years (Birthday = 10/31/2000)
Breed: Housecat. Orange Tabby.
Disposition: Incredibly sweet, affectionate, friendly. "Lazy lap cat." Even people who normally hate cats love him.
Habitat: Indoors or outdoors
Declawed: No
Fixed: Yes

If you or someone you know wants the BEST CAT EVER, please let me know ASAP. He desperately needs a home. If you are in Southern California I can arrange for you to see him. Also, I will be trekking up to Napa Valley on the weekend of August 8th, so even if you're up in NorCal I can deliver him there.

Please no stupid jokes about Chinese Restaurants, feeding him to the dog, or anything else inane. I really need help getting him relocated. Thanks.

*Edit*

Found Pancake a home. Thanks for all your help!

Anyone in Cali have an extra spot for a kitty?

Normally don't see that kind of posting here which is why I suggested posting in here.

Bump! Looks like a great cat! Any takers? We live in Geogia and have 2 cats (1 is 11 weeks old.) Dave, how many do you have? I'd say at least 4 or 5.

Looks like a good cat, I already have 15 or so, so I think I'll pass. Crazy farm cats.
(We've had something like 75 in the past 4 years, not all at once of course)

i would take pancake too if i were in cali.

He used to be in a several-cat household so I think he'd do fine with cats.

I don't know about dogs though.

I'm in Los Angeles, but like I said I can deliver anywhere from San Diego to Napa if needed.

Anyone yet?

Yes, we have a bunch of cats and 2 dogs. One Dog, Pepper that many have seen here already gets along with the cats because he grew up with them but the other dog we adopted recently we have to watch as he will eat them for snack.

I was gonna reply and ask how many SETI work units the cat will crunch.. but that would probably be considered inane. 😱

Cute cat though - looks very similar to "Buttercup" a cat that was a part of our family for just shy of 14 years. 🙁 Wish I was closer to your area, I could probably take him, but Michigan is a bit far I'm afraid and my home remodeling isn't done yet.

I'd love a cat (especially a lap cat), but I don't think my parents would like it with the 3 dogs. And, I wouldn't have any place after I go back to college in New York

<-- Has 2 cats and isn't afraid to admit it 🙂 Cats are great pets. They are loveable but can be independent as well.

Hope you find Pancake a good home! 😀

So do you think he could handle a plane trip say to Houston? (working on d'wife - hey, they bring home their strays, I should be allowed one now and then...)
