Got a refurb a7v333-raid today and disappointed(with what you pay for?) that it didn't have anything just the bare mb.
Think I only got 7 days to declare it unusable, but within that period i'd like to try and get it to work.
Planning to put stuff I have now, 2100 ddr 256mb, thermaltake orb 3 with 7000rpm fan, 60 gig maxtor, maybe switch to 3 20gig maxtors, cdrw, floppy, win2000 (winxp on reserve as soon as it works), radeon 64ddr video.

Need manual too. Asus sites keep giving me vb runtime errors so can't download anything.

will appreciate help, thanks

Thanks a lot. Finished the download, 140 page manual plus bios updates.

I'll check the 4in1 version as I have a previous one.:)

yeah head to www.viatech.com
download the newest 4in1
download the usb filter driver

go to www.asus.com to find the rest of the drivers (for stuff like onboard sound, RAID, etc)

thats actually better then using the disc cause you get newer drivers :)

Thanks Boonesmi,

downloaded both 4.38 and the latest 4.4 VIA4in1 drivers coz I also read 4.40 slowed some trails property in one game.

so i'll just use the 4.38 as it probably is more mature? :)

Thanks for the help guys, however I wasn't one of the lucky ones in this instance, bobo was dead. Won't post and I already disabled most of the on board peripherals.

I just opted for a refund.
