HELP! Need install cd for Intel Pro/DSL 3200

I lost my installation cd for my Intel Pro/DSL 3200 modem in a recent move and I can't find anywhere on the net to get the installation software for Win98SE. I found the drivers which enables me to just install the modem, but without the install cd, I can't get my service up and running. And trying to get someone at tech support is driving me insane! If anyone has this cd and would be willing to sell it (or a copy of it) or knows where I can download the installation software I would really appreciate the help!

Thanks.

If you have the drivers installed already then you do NOT need the setup CD.

There are two ways to install the 3200 brdiged mode and PPP mode:
If bridged and the connection does not work then you would need to call tech support

If the 3200 is setup in a PPP mode then do the following:
1. Go to the start menu
2. Go to run
3. Type: "inetwiz" (no quotes)
4. Run through inetwiz. Connect using your phone line, make a new connection
5. When you get to the phone number input 0,32 as the phone number uncheck dial using area code and dialing properties beneth the phone number, enter your user/pass
6. Then try connecting using the new connection, you either open IE and it will auto dial or you can go to DUN and connect from there.

If this fails call tech support, if they cannot help you or you cannot reach them get another ISP 😉

Thanks for the help but I run into the same problem I ran into when I tried to establish a new dial-up connection; it keeps asking which modem to use and Win98SE can't find my modem because it's recognized by the system as a network adapter. No matter what I've tried I can't get it to recognize it as a modem, even when I've pointed it to the drivers myself instead of auto-detect, it still doesn't work. Without selecting a modem, I can't continue with the internet connection wizard. That's what the installation cd took care of, it automatically found the proper connection device.

Thanks anyway, any other help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Check the device manager of windows and make sure it is listed as Intel 3200 PPP Not Intel 3200 Bridged. It sounds like the modem was setup as a bridged device rather than a PPP device.
